John Deere TSX 245 carb help request

Please tell me what kit(s) or what I need here for tools to rebuild 5 MS TSX-245 carbs purchased yesterday at a ford rather than a Deere auction.
Nobody was bidding on them except for one person that gave up. The 5 went for a $131.50 Total sale price and there appears to be really nothing wrong with them. Other than a little bit of surface rust, I'm bid up on them because everything moves and I put them all in the solvent vibration pan last night. I'll leave them there for a couple days. Been trying to search the internet for whatever tools for a Deere carb are needed. I priced out complete rebuild kits, along with a few extra floats just in case, as there was a really cool guy in bloomer, that showed me something to look for on floats on his rebuilds. Since I have one m t perfectly running, I thought I'd try putting each one of the curbs on it just to see what makes them tick, and I did order ten flange gaskets. Thanks!

The 245 is a medium bowl TSX. Rather than spend the money on kits you may not need I would suggest you completely disassemble each one at a time and inspect every part. You may not need anything but gaskets and a needle and seat.

I suggest you buy an oversized screwdriver and grind it to fit the nozzle. Also grind one to fit the jet perfectly. A set of mig/tig tip cleaners to clean out the tiny holes. No other special tools needed.

Roberts or McDonald's are excellent parts sources. Note - the packing cone on the load needle doesn't come in any kit. The bronze weep plug in the bottom doesn't either. You definitely need the packing cone and if fluid doesn't seep through the bronze plug you'll need it too. The thick plug is the one it needs. Just 8N's had them cheapest last time I bought some.

I wouldn't even CONSIDER running what amounts to tiny round files through "precision" brass carburetor jets!

Pieces of piano wire, or guitar wire work GREAT for probing passages and jets without altering their size.

Hobby sources that deal with model planes will have lengths of small steel wire, as well.

So what you're saying is, the idea is just to clean, the port out, without enlarging it, or damaging it correct?
