John deere wobble boxes

I have a 216 head and the arm that mounts to the shaft out of
the wobble box has excessive play and causes the bolts to
back out of the wobble box. Which is more likely to wear? The
arm that drives the sickle or the shaft out of the bottom of the
box? Whats the difference between a 900 series box and a
200? (numbers are header series). Could a 900 series box be
used on a 200 series head? Thank you

Is the arm loose or doe it just have a lot of back lash??? If it is loose than remove it and clean up the splines and put lock-tight on it and use a new grade 8 bolt to reinstall it with. If it has too much back lash then remove the complete gear case and take it apart. There are needle bearing inside of it that wear out/fail and make it have too mush back lash.

The whole gear case can be rebuilt usually with just new bearing and seals. They are not hard to do. Many shops will tell you they are complicated but they are simple to fix.

The 900 series is a little different so they are not a direct bolt on swap.
