I am looking at a JD 6430 with FWA and JD loader. I know nothing about theses newer tractors. I plan to use it for plowing (3 bottom Plow, 10ft chisel) , feeding and shredding, 15ft batwing . What can you tell me about this model, good bad or otherwise. Thanks for your time

We have a 6430 premium.

It’s had plenty of fuel related problems after about 2500 hours it needed injectors (they are replaceable yourself no matter what the dealer tells you they do not need trim codes) whatever you do don’t fill the filters let the electric pump fill them

We also needed an electric fuel pump because it died

It has small wires going under the right side of the cab that control a hitch and small wires in general get used to repairing those

They don’t turn very short with the utility tires don’t plan on going down rows at least 30s

The loader is extremely robust compared to agcos that is a plus

Ours permanently has a CAN wiring code fault.

The setting the hydraulics in the cab is why the premium optioned model showed up it has the same hydraulic settings as our 8000 series with the knob inside the cab and a display to adjust.

It has nice screens to keep the radiator clean

They are not an 8000. And the codes may or may not mean anything honestly they have gotten much better recently at not giving garbage codes on the tractors and my sprayer the code will mean something and give you a description Deere had a reputation here (about 2010 or so) of not wanting to play very nice at all with others

No emissions as far as dpf or def though so that is a plus but a lot of it’s high pressure common rail problems are still there it is an emissions related necessity at tier 3. Step 1 was increasing heat of engine and making better atomization of fuel…both are not my idea of fun.

Oh and none of those implements will give you a lick of trouble it’s heavier than most utilities you should see the poo spreader this one pulls

The 10 foot chisel in the right ground might make it work but it will likely be just fine I’m assuming it has rather small shanks
