John T, just wondered what was the out-come of the Toshiba laptop that you were having problems with?

Hopefully I didn't give you a bum steer suggesting Richard's computer.

Since the favorite daughter lives there in Dallas I gave her the info n she supposedly took it there where u suggested for Toshiba warranty repair. Based on what you n others said I determined the backlight was out but I havent heard yet if she got it fixed......
