Jubilee Head gasket

My jubilee was bubbling water all along the right side of the head. The old head gasket has the left front large water jacket covered completely and so does my new gasket. Why would it be this way> Someone said the purpose is to direct more to the back of the block. Is this normal? Thanks.

Yes it's to direct the coolant flow. Some of those large coolant passages are that way to get the casting sand out of the blocks when they were cast.

The bubbling was due to head warpage. Had it shaved and now on to fix the temp sensor location next to the battery box. It's rusted to the point the sensor slides through. Then on to fix front seal and to replace the rear hubs.

How about a picture of this? ? I’m guessing you’re missing the well adapter for the gauge. Go to an auto parts store and ask for a manual temp gauge adapter 3/8" NPT x 5/8"-18. It may be a 1/2” NPT, but parts books shows the 3/8.
