Jubilee hydraulic problem

I've got a 1953 Jubilee with a leaking back pressure valve, an inspection mirror clearly shows it spraying all over the place when running. There are no other leaking valves anywhere. I previously took the top cover off and replaced the piston rubber O ring and leather washer just a couple days ago. The back pressure valve/tube appears to fit in the recessed hole of the lift cylinder behind the large acorn nut, pretty sure it's just a recess spot for the back pressure tube to secure/fit into as it seems to have no other opening from what I remember. The back pressure o ring is missing - I realized this after putting the top cover on. I'm going to replace the valve with a new one and make sure the o ring is in place this time. My question is, in what order are the parts, especially the back pressure O ring? Does it go in the recessed hole first with the tube/valve in front of it? Obviously the acorn nut and copper gasket are on the outside, looks like the valve has a steel ring on one end that seats in a recessed ring inside the acorn nut. All of this will be much more obvious when I take the top off again, just want to be sure everything goes back in order properly. The back pressure valve gasket is part number NCA836B from what I've found out correct? Does anyone know the valve part number? I assume the valve threads into the tube? Do you screw the valve clockwise all the way in when reinstalling or is it preset? This is my first post in the Ford discussion, thanks everyone!

Thanks for the reply Shaun. I assumed the O ring butted up to the recessed hole. I've owned the Jubilee for 29 years, it's been a good tractor and is like an old friend!

nce the washer is in place, the "all thread" pipe I call it, is tightened from the outside via slots in the end of it, to push the backpressure valve up tight against the washer, then that is covered with the acorn nut.

JMOR, The back pressure vale seemed to be stuck tight in the tube when I took the top cover of. The acorn nut and all thread came out together as one piece when I removed them. Does the back pressure valve just fit tight in the tube? I don't want to damage anything when I replace it. Thanks.

Where can you buy just the back pressure valve at? I see used valves with the tube connected for quite a bit of money. Worst comes to worst I'll put a new O ring in and hope for the best.

he tube is an integral part of valve and not separable except by destruction.
