Jubilee overcharging

I posted a while back about my overcharging problem. I took my genny and regulater to the local shop and the regulator was bad, (New regulator) Ordered a new one, tested bad on the bench so ordered a third. This one tested good so I installed it. Looked good for 15 mins then went to 15 amps and stayed there. Took genny and regulator back to shop and now it tested bad. Ordered a fourth and supposedly found one made in the U.S.A although there aren't any markings on it to confirm that. This one works as it should. Finally got to grading some roads with the box blade, worked it hard for 6 hours on a 100 deg. day and the pump started chattering and the lift was sluggish,I have fresh UTF 134D fluid in it. Now on cooler days it is running fine,is this a sign the pump needs attention? Gary

uh, Gary???.......didn't yer mother teach you to come in outta the sun???

So now you wannna rebuld a $500 pump that leaks 60wt hydro-tranny oil on 100*F day for 6-hr of work??? Man, that sun did boil yer brains.

Seriously, iff'n you were doing weeks of blading on 100*F days, change it to 90wt mineral gear oil. GL-1 is close approximation. Do NOT use modern multi-wt GL4 or GL5, understand???

Me? I'd take a cold shower and drink a cool one. Recommend Gin'n'Tonic to thin out the blood. ........Dell, the cool
