Jubilee sputtering

My 54 Ford Jubilee runs great... until last week. All of a sudden, it started sputtering as if it were out of gas, but it wasn"t. It will run great for about a minute, then sputter down and then run great again. I cleaned the sediment bowl, I put in Marvel Mystery Oil to see if it were a dirty fuel problem. It still sputters. It has a new carburator, new plugs, new plug wires, and new distributer. Is it bad gas? Carb need adjusting?

Could be a bad condenser, a weak ignition switch or you have a small clog some place in the carb or probably 2 or 4 other things that I can't think of at this moment. If choking helps most likely a carb problem which maybe as simple as needing the adjust the carb some

Choking doesn't help. That's what made me think it was a fuel line problem.

If choking does not help then its a spark problem or you have the carb set way to rich but if you had that you would probably see black smoke out the exhaust

My 640 did the same as yours. Idled like a clock, but spit and sputtered when given gas. After much trial and error fooling with the carb and ignition, it turned out to be the coil.

I'd try another coil..mine 850 did the same exact thing...put a new NAPA coil on it and no more troubles..let us know..

Just put on a new coil. Same result, still sputtering. Next I will try the condenser.

I fixed it. Turns out it was a bad condenser.
