If you had to pick one what would you choose ? I have both and only use them some times maybe 10 times a year. I respect the wisdom and expeirence on this baord, it will help me make a descision. Thanks.

The 800 series tractor is much more tractor than is the NAA. I can think of no reason why anyone would prefer an NAA to even an 841, aside from sentimental value.

Id go with the 800 being newer and alil more refined. But the jub would be cheaper to run :D

Id rather have my 641 tho as a personal preference.

lets see.. more hp if needed, better hyds, easier remotes.. better axle/hub setup, heavier rear end, tghe hance for power steering as a factory option... more trans options...

aside from a lil fuel economy difference.. can't think of anything 'better' on a NAA vs the 8xx series.

An 800 vs a Jube? I wouldn't even have to think about that. 800 hands down. But as Matt L suggests unless you really need the 43 hp of an 800 I would rather have the 34 hp of a 600. The 800s are known to be thirsty.

Very good point others have made regarding fuel economy - no sense feeding 43 hp if 34 hp does all you need, but at only 10 times use a year fuel savings may not matter much anyway unless these 10 uses are very long 14 hour days each time.

Another factor to consider is your 800 an 84?, 85?, or an 86? series? If it is an 84? series it will have essentially the same gear ratios as the Jube (4 forward speeds with 1st being a little fast for some jobs). However, if you have an 85? or 86? series then you have a 5 speed tranny that has a slower first gear which is beneficial to have (Gears 2-5 will be almost identical as gears 1-4 on the 4 speed so you do not lose anything somehwhere else). 86? would have live PTO too via 2-stage clutch.

Auxilary tranny's (e.g. Sherman) can be benificial too if one of the tractors has one, but remember they alter PTO speeds too so you can not always use the extra gears when doing PTO work.

As I've been told more than once size matters - tractors of course  The 800 is a lot more tractor and good bit bigger which is an advantage in many ways. But depending on the usage a smaller tractor is sometimes advantageous. If that is your situation maybe sell/trade them both and replace with someting in the middle. A 6xx will have all of the nice stuff introduced with the hundred series in a smaller footprint. The NAA is missing a lot of niceties.
