looing for new jump box have lots of 3/4 and 1 ton 12v trucks on farm looking at JNC or is there a better one thanks cdv

I'm on my second JNC660 **NO COMPLAINTS ** at all. I bought my second one in 2018, it came with a card, saying anytime if fails or is damaged, send it and for $85 they would refurbish or replace it. I misplaced the card on the first one before it stopped taking a charge. I'll put it like this, if mine was lost or stolen today, I'd order another. It comes with a car charger, nice to use to keep it full charged. E-Bay, Amazon and parts houses have them.

I also have the JNC660, bought it in 2014, I just replaced the battery myself 1 month ago. It had a sealed lead acid battery in it and I replaced it with a sealed 22ah Gel deep cycle AGM battery. I highly recommend the JNC660, it's started dead diesel tractors, trucks, cars, garden tractors.....you name it they are nice to have around and last for years.

Just ordered the JNC770, same specs, but has 68 inch cables, and USB outlets. Short cables have been a major complaint on the last three jump boxes I have owned. I don't like balancing the box on a radiator or frame rail to use it.

Did you have any trouble getting a battery with the same connection terminals? Did you install a 3rd party battery? I bought my JNC660 in 2015. The crazy thing is Clore wants $165 for a replacement battery yet I can buy a whole new JNC660 from Amazon for $150. $171 for a JNC770. At these prices why would anyone repair with an OEM battery? I paid $130 for the JNC660 back in 2015.

I replaced mine with a mighty max ML22-12 High-Rate Gel Series Deep cycle AGM Battery. It cost $60.00 with free shipping, Amazon or Ebay has them. It bolted right up with the machine bolts, lock washers and nuts that came with it. I figure it's worth a try and so far so good. The description on ebay said it was for the JNC660, they fit other boxes as well, I also replaced one in a schumacher box with the same battery, that one had the 18mah in it so it now has a 22mah battery.

Ebay seller name is ecomelectronics and is good to deal with and fast shipping too.

Top of the line seems to be the "Goodall" brand right now. Not cheap but they have a 2500A, 5000A and 10000A. The 10000A one is about $900 but they claim it will start anything.

One tip and pet peeve I have regarding the use of jump starters is, don't try to overcome a dead battery!
