jumper pack dead battery replacement

I entered the 12v-17ah into the google line and got a bunch of battery options. Some are 18 ah and some up to 22ah. Are they all going to be the same size and still fit into the jumper pack case? I assume that 12 volts is 12 volts and so the charger will still work on all of the 12 volt replacement batteries. Right?

I've successfully replaced the batteries in a couple jump packs. Recommend using the highest amp hour rated battery that will fit.

And yes, your jump pack's 12 volt charger will work fine regardless the new battery's AH rating.

It is best to open the unit and measure the dimensions of the old battery and the connectors before ordering a generic replacement battery. Some generic batteries do not last as long as the original, but they are still much less expensive than replacing the whole unit.

As mentioned, just measure the old battery and make sure the new one fits. Typically the form factor for older jump pack batteries is the same as is typically used in such things as power wheel chairs. The other thing you want to watch is to make sure the chemistry is the same. Many of the older jump packs have a standard SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) battery, but newer ones often have lithium batteries, which need a different charger, and as many of the jump packs have the charging circuitry built into the pack itself, it's not as simple as just getting a new battery or even a new charger. Just something to watch out for, though in general I've found it's a simple matter to cross the numbers on the jump pack battery to an identical new one, and most are easily available online or elsewhere.

They are not necessarily going to be the same size. As others have said, take yours apart measure the battery and verify what you're buying is the same size or smaller before you click "COMPLETE ORDER."

How do you replace the battery when the wires are built in to the battery? I have had 2 of then and both were like that. No way to replace battery, Both looked like the half inch wires were soldered into the battery. And in my 79 years never could solder, would melt the soldering gun before it would melt the solder, same with the old style electric soldering irons.
