Would it be handy to weld a old socket on the handle of a breaker bar . Then you could use it as a extension. I never throw away old split sockets. And a breaker bar doesnt cost that much. That you need to think about Warranty

You are talking about shoving a socket up over the end of the breaker handle and weld it on? I have a factory made breaker like that in my
toolbox. (Well the toolbox that was in my car about 20 years ago. I don't know where it got to now.)

Just be careful. It may fold up when you don't expect it. Mine did.

Not that, but I did use a broken 3/8 breakover for a hammer handle.

Used a piece of 1 inch brass bar about 4 inches long, drilled a hole through
the middle and pressed the handle in.

Made a nice little brass hammer!

A cheap 1 1/4" (36-37 mm) Everlast socket. Cut a bolt from a CaT dozer, ground small groove in the socket, and welded them together. Made it to remove axle nuts on the hub of a Jeep Cherokee that I had for trail riding. A piece of 1" pipe was used as a handle. Found that it also fit a lot of other hubs on different trucks and SUVs. Its been the best $8 tool that I have ever bought.

Ive welded them pretty good with just a stick of 7018 .

I have a 3/8 breaker that has a 3/8
square hole in the end. Use it for an
extension all the time. Think it is a SK.
William's used to make one too, my dad had
that one in half inch.

Years ago 80's or 70's I needed a wrench for a PT pump,. This is what did the trick!

on and Otf . Wire feed welder and piece of 1 inch black pipe

Ive had to do that a few times I have a bunch of custom wrenches I did find out the harbor freights are not good to heat because they disintegrate about the time you think they will bend
