KB5 Tires Wanted

Hi guys , where are you buying 17" kb5 tires ( biast)

or, will radials work on my split ring rim .

Your stock 17" wheels are likely to be either 4.33" wide (Budd #44820), or 5" wide (Budd #59340). Your tires are probably 7.50x17" that will have a 34" outside diameter. You can find the reproduction Tornel or STA brand bias ply tires at Coker Tire, Universal Vintage Tire, M. E. Miller, or Lucas Tire. A local shop may have other sources. If you were to go with a radial you'd have to run a radial inner tube. More significantly, most radials will be low profile in metric sizing. To get a tire nearly as tall as your stock tires you'd have to go very wide which would exceed the width capacity of your stock Budds.

I know 17" Budds because my Ford F-3 Marmon-Herringtons use the same wheels as your KB5. Stu

Thanks for the info. I would like to keep the narrow look of the biast tire. So I will check with Cooker Tire.
