keeping the tractor stable while plowing

I have the 3242 Oliver 2 bottom and was wondering if I can expect any instability while plowing with my 550
with it. I don't have any weights added to the front and wonder if I can expect some lifting or side shimmy while plowing. Since the plow will adjust to 12, 14, or 16 widths, could I just adjust it down to 12 and overcome any possible instability.

I don't have any rear weights on the wheels or have the rears loaded with a liquid ballast material.

As long as you aren't one who thinks 10"+ plowing makes any sense then you won't have any problems with it. We always hauled 3/14,s with out super 55 w/M&W over bore kit. If everything's set correctly it shouldn't even want to lift the front w/o weights and unweighted should easily haul 2/16,s .
