Kinda new here . . .

Got her all back together a couple weeks ago, got mowing and a few others things done with it.

Thanks to all for the help. :)

Thanks for the up date Bruze. What did you end up using on the large seal if anything?

I used the black PermaTex, seems to be holding well.

Being old, I don't used the tractor much anymore so not a lot of work needs to be done on it. About 4-5 years ago I needed a new starter solenoid. The old one (which was down inside the tranny case as I recall) was replaced by a buddy of mine at some point around 1980 with the standard Ford auto unit that used to be right on the firewall of the old Ford cars. We mounted it under the gas tank by the petcock and it has worked fine all those years.

I got a new one but it wasn't working right. Luckily I have another buddy who is a true genius in anything electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, etc. etc. and he figured out that the polarity was reversed on the new (Chinese) unit. Something like that anyway, I don't recall for sure. But he got it wired correctly and it works fine.

Without him, I suppose I would have come back here for help. Thanks, it's nice knowing you guys are here. :D

Thought I'd add this to the thread

L-R Bosch (used) Wix Fil Filter

T-B same as above

These were for my TO-30 or 9N. The Fil Filter was off ebay and I don't think it will seal proper without rubber washers and pipe hole different size, and won't work on the N.

Supposed to cross with Fram C3/C3P
