what is the best way too remove the KP bushing, it appears too be a steel one.

Use a chisel to pry up a piece then peel it out like an onion. The thicker parts are usually on the sides; start there.

can also split with a hacksaw blade.. um.. use an air chissle/hammer.. plenty of penetrant.. even some heat.

can shrink it via welding a bead along the ID circumference in 3 rings.. low penetration only..

Soaked and sprayed mine for days with Kroil and all the other snake oils--soak, beat, soak beat, soak beat some more..soak, got my big old tough brother-in-law to beat a while...finally got smart and found a discarded socket head bolt at work that just fit inside the pin-borrowed a 5 lb mall from work..a few whacks and it was out...

Looks like no body own a bushing cutter.I have 2 in my tool box.Been there since the 50s

If it is the steel one then most likely there is a split down the length. You need to look real close and clean off the junk to find the split. Once you find it use a chisel to curl back a corner at the end of the split. Keep curling that corner until the bushing gets a little loose and then it should pound out.
