With the high price of feeder pigs lately
I decided to start farrowing my own. The
first 2 gilts isn't do t well, n had 6 and
the other only 1. But this month the
second 2 came in and they did much better.
The first had a total of 21.
The other gilt that shared the pen didn't
like them and killed 4, and 4 were born
dead, and 2 more got laid on, so she has
11 left. Still good for a first litter.
The second one had hers yesterday, she had
17 total with 2 born dead.
One,born on valentines day, has a heart shaped mark on its back.
So far all 15 of hers are doing well. Must be all that case equipment that makes them do well.
