Kioti tractors

(quoted from post at 23:11:01 12/11/16) What do y'all think about Kioti tractors

I've had good luck with mine (bought new in 2009).
I bought it because it's NOT made in Japan. South Korea, unlike Japan, has never stabbed us in the back!

A good friend has had one for 7-8 years now and loves it. I've used it a couple of times and it's a pretty decent working little tractor.

I am considering becoming a dealer for them and was kind of wondering what some feedback was. I don't own one but seriously considered one when I bought my last tractor. What stopped me was lack of dealer support

I have a CK35 for six years. No problems. I mow with a 72BB six foot Woods rotary cutter, No problems after 700 hours. Not the torque of a similar size older tractor but more handy and easy to operate. Front assist is necessary for loader work. All makes of this size are about alike, all made overseas. I have other tractors. MF165, IHC 574, IHC 986, (2) IHC M and IHC B

We had a small dealer in our area that sold quite a few. They had a few problems such as head gaskets and front axle bearings going out. The dealer didn't have a mechanic and he got me to do some of the warranty work. Parts came quickly and there never seemed to be a problem getting what we needed. The quality of the machine work and the fit and finish of the tractors really impressed me.They don't have the resale value of a Kubota, but I think they are are just as good. I have worked on both. The dealer did give up his dealership. He said he just couldn't sell enough to make any money.

Got a good sized dealer 6 miles from here. He seems to do a good business and has a shop for service.
I drove one a friend bought years ago when visiting him in KY and I was impressed.

I have a DK40SE that I've had for about 5 years. Probably the best tractor I've ever owned. I also bought a Kioti Mechron diesel UTV that has been a great machine. My only issue is that my dealer is over an hour away but I haven't needed to deal with them much.

I brought a Yanmar in 1978 because they were cheaper than Kubota, Deere, and NH which I also considered. Eight years later I realized I had no dealer support. I took the loss and moved on. I have seven Kubota dealers that I can think of within 50 miles of me. I have two of them I deal with and give me good support on the three Kubota's I currently own. I would consider a JD because there are probably seven dealers also close by. I know of 2 Kioti dealers and both are about 40 miles away and are fairly new dealerships which also handle other brands. Its a no brainer for me. I also like the fact that two of my Kubota's was at least assembled in the US. I have never even sat on a Kioti so I can't really judge weather there a good tractor or not.

I'm just saying I would consider the dealer support your going to get or the support your going to get if you are considering a franchise.

Kioti has Kubota beat hands down from the ones I've been around also Bobcat Tractors were built by Kioti so there is another place to sell parts since Bobcat quit selling tractors under their
name.

Here's my take on it: If you need the services of a large dealership/network go for it. I have some neighbors with whom I helped buy a decked out JD for that very reason. They are city folks and don't change their oil personally for an example. The local JD company (Ag-Power, Inc.) has a dealer network in several states totaling 17 stores as I was told by one of their service techs. They also have service trucks that (for a fee) come out and keep everything ship shape on your tractor including warranty servicing, field maintenance, and problems that don't require a trip to the shop....course they have that capability too.

I change my oil and do my own repairs. I looked elsewhere after shopping all the colors for my 2007 Branson 6530C and didn't even shop for my 2016 Branson 2400. I don't have a dealer down the street. I have ready access to whatever I need in the way of repair parts/tech support via the telephone and UPS. Case in point, several years ago I blew out the right cab door glass on the 6530 with my drum mower in a pile of rocks while mowing for a friend in unknown territory. 3 days later a new one was sitting in my shop and the distributor in Plainview, TX. had 7 more in stock!

Your money, your purchase, your decision.

Judging by the comments here Kioti must have improved their products in the last 15 plus years. Years ago I worked for a dealer that handled Kioti among other ag lines and there was nothing about Kioti that impressed me including ordering parts. For the longest time it seems Kioti was handled by people who were less than professional about being good dealers from my perspective. If customer support is paramount as a buyer then I would seek out the area dealer with the best reputation before settling on a brand. From where I sit if that yields no clear cut favorite then go with JD or Kubota in that order.

I agree with welding man.....the only issues is resale, they are on par with Kubota in every other way. Find a well cared for used one and save some money.

My grandpa has a 2011 Ck27? I think. Got it 4 years ago with with 49 hours for a great price. $ years later he's only put 60 more hours on it, so still getting broke in really. Been very happy with it. Never failed to start never a problem.

Think about it long and hard before you jump in. THEY offer a good NEW dealer discount for 12 months.. That really looks good but over half the folks that take them on can not sell enough to make it work AFTER that discount period. In the first 12 months you can offer enough discount to woo some KUBOTA customers but after that discount is over and you have to go heads up with KUBOTA it is tough. Most folks will go with the established brand because of resale advantage if nothing else. As for as the tractors they are not bad but dealer/company support is still lagging. Be certain they will take back what you have when you want out or check the floor plan agreement for what they will do when one comes due. Have some deep pockets and plan on not making any thing for a year or two if you are serious.

Dealer support is readily available here in MI. Every dealer we've been to has been very nice and helpful. Dealer 1 and a half hours away delivered it at no extra charge. Dealer this one get's serviced at is 15 miles away. Probably not so in many other states tho.
