They still make the best wire strippers.

SON had a job years ago assembling Really BIG industrial gearboxes, 2, 3, & 4 stage, and heavy, he'd install more snap-rings in some gearboxes than I've ever installed, and he said Klein snap ring pliers were the only ones that held up.

Klein is what is in my electrical hand tool box. Klein is still owned and operated by the Klein family. Still Made in the USA.

I have TWO pairs like that. When I practiced about All our electricians used Klein almost exclusively.

I have Klein lineman's pliers in four different sizes, as well as needle-nose pliers, side cutters, two lineman's wire-stripping knives, and a few screwdrivers. I buy them whenever I can find at flea markets and yard sales, sometimes for pennies on the dollar. (I got one of my Klein needle-noses for 25 cents at a yard sale!) They are all top-quality tools.

My late father-in-law was a journeyman electrician and later for many years an electrical contractor. He swore by Klein tools. Back in the 1960s he inherited a lineman's pliers from an old electrician. Years later, he entered it in a Klein contest to find the oldest pliers and tied with another owner for top prize, a trip to Hawaii.

A further Klein story: For many years I went to gunshows everywhere with a retired utility company lineman. I got many of his tools when he died five years ago. He, like my FIL, swore that Klein tools couldn't be beat.

When I tried to return Klein The counterman Would say c'mon don't bust my b@lls Sorta no warranty on Klein unless factory defect .

Yes, effective alternate use to access the cold beverage contained within !!! I have a pair of later 90's era craftsman wire cutters, hand held size that literally is the best bottle cap remover. I call it a cap digger. It also leaves them unbent or deformed and you get a classic lift off with the sound and launch of the cap. I have a 5 gallon bucket with most of the caps of beer bottles ever opened here. Not every single one, but 98% of them. I wanted to see once this life is near the end, how many caps there would be in volume. Hopefully a long way to go yet, another bucket as it's taken 20 some oddd years to get this many in there by now.

Bought my first Klein linesman pliers nearly 40 years ago when I started out as a electrician s helper. Still haven t nearly all my Klein hand tools and pouch, in as good a shape as ever. I even have a small collection of older Klein linemen pliers.
