Knoedler seat

I have a Knoedler seat on my 8N. At least it looks like a Knoedler seat from some other posts I have seen.

The shock is wore out. The under frame does't look too sturdy, and it takes up alot of room. Are replacement shocks available anywhere? and is it worth restoring? I would be just as happy with a spring type seat.

Anyone want to buy it? :)

I have 8 N tractors, One has Knoedler seat. I can't tell that it is any more comfy than the OEM seat. I do use cushions on all of them. I also have a Monroe easy something or other seat for a 9/2N but I have yet to restore it and install it.

I have a Knoedler on my 51 and love it aside from it being a bit too close to the dash.

What Dean said. They are way more cush than the original spring and will move the seat forward which is only a concern when getting on and off the tractor. Throwing a leg over the hood as opposed to getting your foot tangled up between the gear shift and seat frame may be worth considering.
