Kohler 241

[FF in MI]

Howdy
Have a small tractor with kohler 241 in it, It starts rigth up but have to leave the choke on to keep running, after about 2-3 minutes it stops running, then wont start at all for awhile, have new fuel pump and that didnt help. Any ideas.

check the float valve they have a rubber seal the new corn flavored gas eats them up and won't let the gas through

It might sound crazy, but how's the fuel tank vent? If it is blocked, it won't let air into the tank to displace the leaving gasoline, pressure in the tank'll fall below atmospheric pressure, and the gas won't flow. After a few minutes, everything equalizes, and it'll start again. Had it happen. The vent is usally just a little hole in the cap.
