Kohler engine now is board 30ths. over and crank is 10ths. under, runs good except for a lot of blow by. Question is, can you go 60ths. over on piston and stay safe, just used for mowing and pushing snow. Thanks for all comments.

If its getting that bad I'd replace the block - plenty of "standard" and .010 over bored on ebay. Be easier and probably cheaper than trying to find a piston & rings that much bigger.

You can sleeve it and have the sleeve bored to standard. I had that done on a 301 7-8 years ago and it is still running good

IF THE CRANK IS WORN ONLY A COUPLE THOUSANDTHS,I GRIND IT JUST TILL IT CLEANS UP AND FIT THE ROD TO IT. YOU CAN SLEEVE THE BLOCK BACK TO STD AS SAID. IF YOUR VALVE HEAD DIAMETERS ARE THE SAME SIZE YOU COULD BORE IT TO A 14HP 3.5" .CRANK AND ROD ARE THE SAME ON K301/K321-14HP.I WOULDNT BORE A 12 TO A 14 IF ITS GOT THE SMALL EX VALVE.. PUSHING SNOW AND MOWING IS ALOT OF HARD WORK DON. LUCAS

No stock piston larger than .030 over are available. I have a local automotive machine shop that sleeves the block back to standard. They also have good luck welding the crank throw and grinding it back to standard. Some people might think this should not be done but they have a good track record with this work.
