I have Kohler K301 12 horse that was running great. It sat for about 2 or 3 weeks in the shed and now it won't crank. It's got fuel, it's got good spark. All it wants to do is blow fire out the carb. Is that trying to tell me something?

Try a new plug 1st,then if eng has solid state ign/magneto,check for a bent/sheared flywheel key, this will change ign timing, after that check for sticking valves or carbon on valves/valve seats not allowing valves to seat/seal or a leaking/blown head gasket

The intake valve is stuck open. You may hav to remove the head and squirt some light oil around the stem and watch the piston when it comes to top dead center tap the valve close very gently, you may have to do this several times to loosen it.

If it is a stuck valve. Use straight synthetic oil in it. I have a K301 that had the intake valve stick open when it got hot. Put Castrol synthetic in it and no pore problems.
