The most important thing with any brand of used equipment is the care and maintenance it was given.

I bought many Komatsu graders and loaders for ADOT; they were just as good as any other brand.

 

[Novice with Case]

I bought a Komatsu DP41 about 5 years ago. It has been a very good machine. It was serviced every 250 hours and has 4200 hours on it now. Other than regular maintenance it has never given me any problems. The guy I bought it from told me to always keep it serviced, keep the undercarrage and tracks clean after using it, and it will last for years. I have cleared 40 acres of land which was logged in some very wet ground and it has never failed me. Still has the batteries that were in it when I bought it and will start on the coldest day in winter without ether. A dealer who did the orginal service work on the machine made me a standing offer to buy when I got ready to sell. He works on every brand but told me the Komatsu was as good as any and better than most.
