Kubota d1005

I have a Kubota d1005 engine in my ATV1100 it has been hot. I did a compression on the three cylinders two have only 50 psi and one has 410psi. specs show that the PSI should be in the 575plus range.. Can you squirt some oil in on top of the cylinders as you would do on a gas engine to see if the compression increases to determine if the engine needs new rings. I do not know if the oil pan can be removed to install new rings. I have installed a new head Chinese knockoff and tried to crank appears one cylinder might want to fire as long as the battery keeps the engine spinning.the cylinder walls look like no damage to them. Yep should have checked the compression before getting this far along. Finally ordered a compression tester from Amazon and today I have checked the pressure. Also I checked the valve clearances and the only way to determine top dead cylinder was to stick a screw driver in the open injector holes to try to determine top dead center. There are no marks on the engine to find number one top dead center. Any advise will be greatly appreciated by this old man (84)

Yes you can add oil in a diesel like gas engines to see if the rings are bad. I have the same engine i need to do a compression check on. Do you have the part or model number for the comprestion testing kit you used? Once i do a compression check on mine i am thinking i will be working the same issues you are.
