Kubota Discbines

Kubota bought European manufacturer Kverneland who builds plows, tillage tools, and hay tools among other products. Some Kverneland products were sold off to Kuhn a few years ago such as wrappers and large square balers. Some of these have been replaced. The discbines look like a continuation of the products introduced by Kverneland several years ago. Pricing was an issue due to the exchange rate between the dollar and the Euro. For now it is business as usual for some Kverneland products in terms of US sales and support but I expect products such as plows will formally become Kubota orange at some point. Kubota can only help with the products already wearing orange paint in terms of streamlining support.

Were they quality implements? Would it be better to buy Krone and have to deal with a dealer that is three hours away?

I think the current edition machines are of good quality. I think Kubota calling the shots will make for good product support. The situation before with things filtering through Quebec made things clumsy. If you want things uncomplicated then go Deere or NH although I do not know how prices compare anymore.
