I'm kinda window shopping-looking to upgrade my tractor. Is the Kubota m6800 well regarded? Any known problems or quirks? Thanks, Mark.

Yes, one of the best made in my opinion.

I'd go for the wet clutch power shuttle "hydraulic shuttle" model versus the "utility special" which is dry clutch and mechanical shuttle.

Front and rear diff locks on 4x4 (DT) model.

Only thing is main shift is center stick on open station, cab model is console mount.

M7040 replaced it and equally solid.

M series changed me to orange from red.

Sold a lot of M 6800s in their day. If cab model you have to keep the area behind the battery clean to keep the air working but very reliable tractors

I once owned a M4900 which is the next smaller model to a M6800. I agree with JM if tractor has a cab one needs to utilize good radiator/condenser maintenance to keep air conditioner cooling adequately more especially in the Texas heat where I live. My M4900 was utilized to move a lot of rd bales which caused failure of Sync-shuttle synchronizers that required a tractor split to R&R synchronizers. I later traded it for a M7040 with hyd shuttle that has moved many rd bales with no problems

The one that I'm interested in does have the hydraulic shuttle. It is low hour, 4x4. It has a canopy-no cab. But, what is holding me back, is that the loader bucket is not quick attach. I priced the add on quick attach, but I am on the fence. I do switch back and forth a lot. Are these aftermarket adapters as good as factory? Thanks, Mark.

Put an aftermarket quick hitch on a bush hog brand loader. Worked perfect.

Must be the US built L series loader. All the M6800 around here had the ALO made Kubota loader with Euro coupler.

If the loader quick connect is your only hold up I'd get an HLA coupler for it, Euro would be my pick but skidsteer is also an option.

I bought a quick attach for
My Kubota L4310 at my local Kubota dealer around 7 years ago for about $550 dollars.

I have a couple US built Kubota loaders and both are Euro. Book shows skidsteer variant as well, funny how market preferences are.

HLA does skidsteer QA too. Even sells Euro to skidsteer and vice versa.
