Hello y'all, I've never joined a forum/discussion type thing, I'm far from knowing how this works so I'll go the common sense route which usually works for me! Sorry....
Anyway I'm having trouble with my a/c, it started out with me doing a sort of inspection before heading out and a big POP sound went off, something blew, it was the a/c line to the low side, kabang, got a new line, put it on and pulled vacuum, all good, except that it had been a week or so and I forgot to think about the what caused the line to blow like that, obviously to much pressure but why, possibly the,,,, high pressure switch? Plugged expansion valve? The dryer, my condenser is in good shape fin wise as well.
After it sitting a bit and the vacuum continued to hold this is when I got ahead of myself and tried charging, my high side went out the roof, and something else I've noticed that just happened is when I press the a/c button to on it doesn't stay, I can hold it to engage the compressor, but that isn't right at all. And to be honest, I've been around big equipment, I can run it all and fix most of it, but working on a/c units I've got limited knowledge, I can charge, I do have the gauges, vacuum and refrigerant. Im in the sand and gravel business family owned since my father started it with a single axle dump truck and a dream, he's become very successful, I'm 45 and been at his side, and I'm tremendously greatful. Watson sand & gravel inc. Ross, Oh. I've got several mechanics to ask for advice and fix things for me, but I'm not that way, I wanna fix it so therefore I've got to learn, if I fail, I'll take it to one of them that know, at least I gave it hell.
I'm new here, and I'm sorry if I've explained my issue in the wrong manner, I've stayed away from discussion boards because there's always a ***hole that just can't be nice, nobody is perfect!
If someone could please give me suggestions about my tractor or,,,,how I posted this question,,,,, hopefully I did well and I'll only receive comments about my tractor....
But I'd be very appreciative and thank you..
