Kubota Regeneration System

I bought this Kubota LX 3310 a couple years ago and love the tractor but I'm worried about the regeneration system in the future. So far no problems but looking at the heating elements plastered all over the unit I see the potential for big bills if there is a problem. Only have fifty some hours on it so far but wonder if anyone has had problems with that system. If I had realized the potential for problems I would have bought the size smaller which has the regular exhaust system and would have met my needs. So my question is has anyone had exrperience with the regeneration system? If it looks like a potential problem I will consider sellling it and buying a smaller tractor, it's too late when trouble starts as far as I am concerned. Don't even mention an Electric tractor.

I'll step in on this and note that the Kubota engineers are pretty savvy dudes and know how to design tractors. That being said, I personally would never buy a tractor made after 2012 due to all the extra emissions (stuff). There are tons of lightly used pre emissions Kubotas out there that come up for sale and will last a lifetime. 2012 and earlier tractors have no emissions computers and sensors to fail.

I have a year old 3560...the regen light came on, and as the manual suggested, I put it to work with a heavier load, and the light soon went out,,all back to normal.

I know this is a somewhat old thread, but I found out about a company that sells kits to do away with the DPF system. They are pricey. The company is based in Poland and is called 4DPF.com. They have kits for skid steers to big cab tractors. There is a video on YouTube that tells about it. Search Regeneration Delete.

There is a diesel repair shop in Terre Haute, Scheid diesel, that cleans particle filters.

I have a 2018 M6060 with 1200 hours on it. I don't fool around when it wants to Regen and cancel it or do any of that. I just let it go if I'm ready to park it. And it wants to Regen, I will rev it up to 2100 RPM set the brake and let it Regen. It takes about 10 minutes. I've had no problems yet. It's my understanding that the particulate filter will need to be cleaned at about 3500 hours. Don't know if I will get that many hours on it. I do about a 150A year. I too, was a little leery of it, but so far so good.

DPF exhaust after treatment is a simple, effective, and reliable system. They run incredibly clean.

New diesel engines are typically diesel direct injection with common rail fuel systems. Vastly more complicated and expensive to fix than a clogged or full DPF.
