Kuhn GF Tedder

I have an old Kuhn Model GF hay tedder Serial # 671077 which my dad bought new in the mid 60's. It has 4 spinners with round shafts the teeth bolt to. It has been an excellent tedder and I am still using it. This year The bearings on the PTO shield gave out. They are a pressed steel cage outside with steel balls that run in a groove on the U-Joint. My local dealer, which is a poor excuse, says he can find no listing for this tedder. I know it was made in France and I remember it was the first gyro-tedders around here. Can anyone help me with a parts list or part number for the bearings? I have seen 1 or 2 of these tedders in the past so there are others
around. Thank you for any help

I'd try another dealer....parts will be pricy I bet....we ruined two gears in our GF22N and they were $900 for the pair if we wanted new at the dealer.

Don't even think of OEM just go to any tractor Supply or any dealer and pull what you need off the shelf at the PTO display. Then check with your local FSA office to see about getting your O'bammy rebate.

(quoted from post at 18:47:10 07/15/12) Been there and they don't have any thing but parts for the new plastic shields.

I have a Kuhn nearly as old as yours with a plastic shield. What is wrong with plastic? They are virtually all plastic now.

Nothing wrong with the plastic but my steel one is fine except for the bearing in the end, and I didn't see a plastic one that would work on it.
