L118 transaxle

Hoping to get some advice. I have a L118 JD lawn tractor with a ruined tranny. It's a JD AM134125 (Tuff Torq 768T2024000). I'm finding it hard to locate cross reference info on used trannies. I'm looking at a used K46AC tranny (JD AM131580) from a L120 and need to know if that will work in my L118. If you know the answer, great. If not and you know how I can find the answer it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You can swap a light duty K46
For a light duty K46 however all your tractor will have is a light duty K46 transaxle .
The heavier duty K65 and K66 are pretty much a bolt in swap . Lots of K66 s around on tractors with blown engines where the operator was mowing on side hills with low engine oil levels .
