LA propane leakage

I have a factory LA propane tractor im trying to get going. im smelling propane coming from the radiator. i dont know a thing about propane but i just had to have her. Wife wouldnt mind my addiction so much if i could get these things running.

The vaporizor must have failed. It uses engine water heat to vaporize LP. Only place it could come from.

Any idea where i can find one of those? trying to find parts has been a problem.

Have you tried external_link for your Case parts? A propane supply company may be able to help with lp related parts.

Check over the plumbing connections on the diaphragm regulator. It has an inlet and outlet for radiator/tank heater connections to warm up the lp to help it atomize. Make sure it is what it is supposed to be. Your diaphragm could be split allowing the lp into the heated water portion of the regulator. good luck gobble

Chris, go online and check out IMPCO, they are an old name and a quick look at their site shows vaporizers, I would suspect they are somewhat Cubic Inch related size wise, There were a couple come up when I googled and they were very reasonable priced, for what I seen a new would beat fooling around with 60 years old stuff.

The high pressure seat or diaphragm . Done 4010 JD while back with that problem. Have 65 MF with bad seat leaking out thru air cleaner doing now.

If it's a Century system, it's hard to find parts. Switch it over to an Impco. Carb and Turbo in Shakopee Mn is where I used to get parts from.
