LA SN tag rivets

Anything know if they are a blind hole it through hole? Mine are driven in about 1/8". I tried drilling, but all I get is cast iron dust, which isn't good. If they are through holes, any issues with driving them into the axle and leaving them?

While I know I should be able to drill them out, if I can't, any issue with moving up an 1/8" and redrilling rivet holes?

I am going to drill new holes for mine, the axle has no grease behind there, so no issues drilling through.

If you can use a Dremel with a cutoff wheel to make a slot, they will turn out with a good screwdriver.

Mike has it exactly right, they are "drive rivets", and will "unscrew"
as he says, or simply catch the edge of the head with a sharp chisel, give the chisel a tap, and they will turn/rise up/unscrew enough to be gripped with a Vise Grip and "unscrewed" the rest of the way out, NO drilling or new holes needed.

They are drive in rivets yes! Not sure why anyone is drilling the wholes out are cutting the rivets off. Your going to make it look like you messed with the tag. If you want to get the tag off and save the rivets take off the final drive and pull the driveshaft out. File a punch down and punch the rivets out from the inside out. Now you will save your factory rivets.

The drive rivets are readily available from DEERE, part #37H44, at about 45 cents each.

Does anyone know if the ones currently being sold are an exact appearance match to the originals?
