i searched for a while to no prevail and relized there are such bearings anymore, i have mr. -------'s and it mentions using ball bearings packed in grease, been a while since i looked at though.
 
Try Rusty Acres Ranch in CA. They part out lots of L series and if anyone has a set used they might. Also, try the Ridenour's, they may have a source for them or some used ones. Their website doesn't show any new/repro ones for sale. It may be worth it just to buy a good used steering box if the bearings in them aren't that bad.
