My cousin has a beef barn that he was getting power via a light drop cord run across the ground. I had a nice run of 10/3 ACWU (Tec) from a conveyor we no longer use so we made a swap for used roofing steel in exchange for some supplies and labour. He picked up some 10/3 NMWU a double pole 30 breaker and a 4 11/16 th junction box and my work gave me a small panel from a swap out job that needed a little tlc. This morning since were off for the day I put it all together since we ran/burried the cable this sumner earlier. The 3 plugs are now run off of 2 circuits. I used a piece of the 10/3 fed off the double pole 15 breaker in the center to split off and feed 1 1/2 plugs on one side and same on the other as I broke the tab on the center plug on the hot side. We have 2 spare 120V circuits ,were going to use one for lighting later this fall and the one with the broken tab will remain blank.
One of the lugs was rusted and seized in the panel but pneumatic tool oil and a bit of work freed it up. It had no bond lug and the neutral as bonded to the frame so I removed the bond strap and added a bond bar to tie in all the bonds. Works nicely and its all labeled.
