Larger tires for 44

New to the forum. I am in the process of restoring my grandfathers 44 RC, and would like to increase the width of the rear tires, maybe a 18.4 x 30 or 18.4 x 34. Currently have 13.9 x 38. What are my options without changing the hubs? Thanks in advance - John.

The 44 row crop ran 38” rear rims with were either 11,12 or 13” wide .
With 13” rims and depending on who you ask . That could be 13.6x38, 14.9x38 or 15.5x38 .

B&D is right. But a RC would not have the 30 inch wheels as you state, these were on the standard models.The largest tire on a 44 Standard would be a 16.9 x 30. A 44 Special could be equipped with 18.4 x30 but an 18.4 x34 was never an factory option. Any pressed steel 38 inch rim with the standard bolt pattern should fit your hub.
