Always a good feeling when the last field is cut and baled, especially when all equipment worked great and nothing broke! Knock on wood. The last round bale is usually a small one, left over scrap from windrows. The MF31 sickle still hums along, not a single plug, only time I got off my seat was to take the pic. Notice 2 large turkey vultures on the bare branch on the large poplar tree in upper right of photo staring me down and looking for a snack. Those were some big ones, that poplar is quit large though not apparent in photo. The Badger baler is a really an old Vermeer. Yes I need a newer round baler. MF165D and MF265 my buddies. Figured I'd post these for those that can't farm anymore or used this old equip back in the day. Cheers.
