Turned out great ! Guessing it wasn’t the first one you have made !Broadband is finally coming to my area. The company that is installing it has been a good customer of mine for quite some time. They asked me to build them a few trailers. Here is #1.

that a Pintle Ring (Lunette) near the braces on the hitch? Stored to allow for different hitches on different trucks?
It is my first one of this type, found some pictures and went to work. I have built and repaired a lot of trailers over the years and yes, the ring is if they need to use it on a different truckTurned out great ! Guessing it wasn’t the first one you have made !
Very cool. It looks good from here.Broadband is finally coming to my area. The company that is installing it has been a good customer of mine for quite some time. They asked me to build them a few trailers. Here is #1.
I cut, fit, machined and welded every piece, the light boxes are factory. I did all the wiring and the paint. I even packed the wheel bearings and gauged the tires.Very cool. It looks good from here.
Did you build that entirely from scratch?
Did you do the wiring/lights too?
If you are building "a few" did you build yourself a welding jig so you don't have to measure every trailer?Broadband is finally coming to my area. The company that is installing it has been a good customer of mine for quite some time. They asked me to build them a few trailers. Here is #1.
No, I did consider it but I really don't know at this time how many they are going to want and this is a 3 year project. I can build a trailer in the time it would take to build the jig, plus the cost of the material and a place to store it just didn't add up for me.If you are building "a few" did you build yourself a welding jig so you don't have to measure every trailer?
I draw my own drawings and make up my own bill of materials list and order the materials myself. I have built numerous trailers and truck beds over the years and my blueprints are in my head. All I want is a picture and a few measurements and the rest is up to me.Very nice work
Did they supply you with the drawings and bill of materials?
