Leaking Hydro gear casting

I have a leaking hydro gear casting, seems the casting is cracked ever so slightly. It's getting worse. I'm wondering is there anything a guy might do to repair the crack on the inside or out short of getting a new one? It's on a toro 50 inch zero turn.

A picture of the leaky area might help.

Its not leaking at the round aluminum cover held on with two bolts, is it? Hydrogear has an update kit for that.

If it is the main case, I have never tried to repair one. I guess if you could drain the oil, clean the area as well as possible with brake cleaner and the put some JB weld (Or you favorite metal repair epoxy) on and hope for the best. The idea is to try to keep the oil from pushing through the patch before it sets up and bonds to the aluminum.
