leaking oil cup

My VAC has some pin holes in the air cleaner oil cup. I used black gasket maker on the holes as it was what I had around the house. Either it doesn't work perfectly, or there is another pin hole. I know this is common. I have only owned 2 Case products and both had the problem. I am not opposed to buying a new cup but I am guessing they are not around. Before I tackle it, I wonder what's out there for home remedy.

I use epoxy. Don't just cover the hole, put a big patch in. If its a rusted through pin hole, it will probably rust through right next to it. Cover whatever is rusty. One tractor has been patched for about 10 years and don't leak.

Braze the holes shut with a torch on the inside.

As Loren said brazing is permanent, epoxies and other sealers are just a short term band-ade

I cover the whole bottom with fiberglass resin and fiberglass cloth. It can not rust out again. Nick

You could also tin the bottom of air cleaner.

Tin, solder, lead, brass, any will work if metal is cleaned & fluxed properly.
