Leather boots

Thanks for the advice. I did get the steering wheel off by just giving it a couple good hammer taps after putting PB blaster down the shaft a couple days ago. But, the old leather tie rod boots are on there good. Do they attach to the tie rod or just pressed on there and stuck over time? Thanks again, BJ
 
I have only done one set of them over the years and if I remember right I used a set of end cutters to cut and rolled them out like rolling a nail out of a board. Before ya try that wait till ya get a few more suggestions I could be wrong. The memory is the 2nd thing to go as ya get old. The 1st thing to go is worst then your memory so if the memory would go first things after that wouldnt matter. Happy Tractoring

BJ...they are pressed on. If you can just get it started w/ a screwdriver or other blade it'll work off from there. I've even used a ball-joint separator fork on it.
