Will the PAR36 LED lamp fit in the common size Ford head light bucket?

I think the PAR36 is smaller diameter than the sealed beam used on an 8N.

Hi...you might consider replacing both head lights at the same time.

around here the NAPA stores recommend so. Why? on the box the new one says so. otherwise Pa. Inspectors will have to check. one light. LED, originals usuall low output.

Good JOB....

Most LED strength of beam is of a WHITE light beam. Even the light bulbs abovee most modern kitchjen sinks are of that variety, nowadays.

As a maintenance engineer I come across AC power control cables that are of many colored small wires. To be sure of those p[astel colored wires with tracers, usuall a white tracer perhaps, will loose their identity because of the use of a WHITE service light (LED)

I always use my old fashioned MAGLITE XEON(TM) bulb which is of an incadescent nature.

White light has a tendencacy of me thinking that I may be going COLOR BLIND when I use one.

For some jobs you cannot be COLOR BLIND.

For an official FAA color blindness test, they must use an INCADESCENT light bulb for the light source in their instrumentation!

Moral to the story: Under white light shining above the kitchen sink, YOU may NOT be able to see your spouse's RED streak in their hair anylonger.

According to the New Holland parts web site, the part number for the bulb used in the light kit for an 8N is 371457R91. Various other sources indicate that this is a 4019 sealed beam headlamp, which is a PAR46, not a PAR36.

I stumbled across the magic decoder ring for PAR numbers. PAR means "Parabolic Aluminized Reflector".
The number is the diameter of the face of the lamp in eighths of an inch.
PAR36 = 4.50 inch diameter
PAR46 = 5.75 inch diameter

There is a 12 Volt PAR46 LED light available that can replace the 4019.[/u]
