LED shop lights

Have then in my shop and in basement. Several years old and pleased with them.

I have a number of them and often pick up a few more when on sale, getting rid of the fluorescents and improving lighting other places. I think I have had one fail in 5 or 6 six years of using them.

I got 4' at Theisens,7000 Lumens for $19.99. I like them.
Those sound good, but Theisens isn't really an option for those of us in Maine, Harbor Freight is about the only option (other than the big box stores) where you can pick them up without paying shipping.

I just got back with the limit 3 of them. I will say they are bright. Grand-son-in-law and wife are coming tonight for the weekend. He will hang them for me. 👨‍🌾
On sale through Monday, so you can get 6 more, 3 a day if you want. ;)

They go on sale fairly regularly, if you keep watch.

Here you could go put them in vehicle and go back in store and buy 3 more. Or repeat as many times as needed.

They are on sale about every other week. I have a bunch of 4500 onse from Walmart, one it half dead but it has been on for 5 or 6 years.

these are the best bang for the buck , I have 10 in my 24'x40' shop and they work good ,

I like the "daylight" ones, I think they are 7,000 lumens; they really help these old eyes.
Just so we are on the same page.

Lumens is a measure of how bright a bulb is. There is a calculator where you take sq ft of room and multiply that by how bright you want the room to get total lumens.

Kelvin is a measure of bulb color such as soft white or daylight. The lower the number the more yellow the bulb is and the higher the number the more blue the bulb is.
Daylight is about 5000k.

I have been removing the ballast from my old lights as they burn out and replacing the bulbs with LED.

Has anyone had experience with the HF shop lights Braun 4Ft 5500 lumen? They are on sale for $17.99 and I am thinking about getting a couple to replace my dying Fluorescent ones. 👨‍🌾
I don't know about the brand, but the subject is a "gotta have". I replaced my neons half a dozen years or so ago and I am just thrilled with the longevity of the bulbs and cold weather tolerance compared to neon. I bought mine off ebay for a good price and redid my whole shop.

Good catch! Thanks.

Neons or fluorescent? Only thought neon was for signs.

If it's any easier you can re-wire the fixtures you have to use type B fluorescent bulbs. The bulbs would cost more than the HF lights though but you wouldn't have to take the fixtures down.
