Those can be easily made . More importantly,is the rest of the bracketry on the tractor? Must have those or it wont fit/work.

Yeah I thought about making a set no problem there just looking for something that’s pretty close to factory made I guess the rest of the brackets are in the mower just need the right extensions to make it work.

What would those be needed for? I grew up with an 8n and I can't think of a need for them. Mark.
I think you are correct he may not need them on an 8N with position control. It looks like they are for use with a 2N or 9N so the lift is operated in the raised position but with the extensions the mower is held in the proper cutting position.

2 previous 8n's that Dad and my uncle owned had a side mower, but the 8n I grew up with did not. Dad said the r/h arm attached to a cable that ran under the tractor, and, raised and lowered the mower. Mark.

I was only going by an uneducated guess from operating the Massey 65 we had on the farm and the position of the rock shaft arms in the raised position. This guess came by way of a 14-16 manual on the N tractor club .com site. I don’t know how to tell a 2N or 9N from an 8N. I also have no idea how to find out when a 14-16 was made. If it was produced prior to the 8N my observation would have one point of proof. Aside from this photo of the arms installed it shows the tractor and machine in operation in the field and the rock shaft arms are in the same raised position.
