Lift Capacity

Just curious as to what the lift capacity is in the "real" world when using a boom pole. I saw a picture here earlier of a riding mower in the air and didn't know what else you guys may have lifted (safely). Thank you!

t all depends on how long the pole & how far out that you hang the load. Further out means lift less weight, just like how long is the handle on the wrench. As an example, if load were sitting on draw bar, about 1100 pounds, but at about 10 feet, 230 is about the limit.

I recently loaded an 800 lb+ 6' cutter without issues onto a trailer with my 4 cylinder 4000 and boom pole.

The pole is rated for 500 lbs on the short hook and 750 on the long hook.

I used the hook at the extent of the pole (long hook) but the tractor does have front wheel weights.

An N series tractor will lift around 800lbs on the 3 point as in say a blade or disk etc in the 800lbs range and much more then that you start to lift the front tires off the ground. Then as JMOR said you extend that out then your lift before the front comes up gets down a lot lower. To give an exact number that can not be done because of other factors like weights on the front end and other such things. Even have a front bumper or not having one makes a bit if a difference as to how much you can lift

i"ve lifted a v-8, international 2 t0n dump truck complete engine on a couple of occasiona 4 my neighbor with my 2N. it was hooked clear out at the end of boom pole. tractor front end was weighted plus neighbor"s wife stood on front bumper, and she"s a big gal.

8N, out on the end of the pole, 300-500 max.
At the drawbar 1100-1200 but the front end usually will lift up at about 800 on the drawbar.
