lift problems

I have a 8n and the only way i can get full travel out of my touch control lever is for the position control lever to be down,with it up the travel is minimum what could be my problem and a fix for this thanks

Cam follower pin is badly worn and the positions control linkage is out of adjustment. Zane Sherman - who posts here regularly - sells a kit to readjust the lift including the pin and good instructions. The I&T FO4 manual is also recommended.

i forgot to say it has a new cam following pin in it

very likely a badly worn cam follower pin, perhaps even cam wear.

that and a lift cover adjustment is likely needed
