I'm a new guy to tractors. While driving my YM2000 today, it lost power and the CHG and OIL lights came on. I checked the oil and it does need changing. Last time it was changed was probably about 40 hours ago. Tractor only has 88 hours. Is it just telling me to change the oil? I don't have a manual yet. Thanks for the help.

Could be several things but I can tell you what it's not. The light is not telling you to change the oil, with a diesel you can't tell it needs a change by its appearance, and a change should last 100 hours. If you got it from a dealer and haven't had it long or used it much, I'd contact them, and not run it in the meantime.

"It lost power". Did the engine quit? If so, that is why the charge and oil lights came on. Does the engine turn over with the starter and not crank at this time?

As I am just sitting here I'm thinking I may need to check the fuel. it does not have a gauge and it could be as simple as it ran out of gas! it does crank but does not start. I usually get about 5 hours per 5 gallons. i'll check and let you know in a little while!

thanks for the info and sorry for wasting your time. it just ran out of fuel. Added some, bled the lines and all is fine.
