lightweight fuel tank

I'm looking for a stock appearing fuel tank for a farmall M. It can either be fiberglass or aluminum. And also can I put fuel in them or are they just for looks.

A lot of folks just cut the bottom out and gut the tank then fasten an aluminum tank inside, still looks stock and loses the weight. If you got a good tank find a rusty one and keep or sell your good one

I have fiberglass tanks that are molded from an 'M' tank. They are used for weight savings, not suitable for fuel. Also have fiberglass fenders. Call me at 734-751-4661 if interested.

Are they a completely lookalike or are they open on bottom? Do you use stock gas cap or is a lookalike cap already molded in place?

They look identical, right down to the spot welds for the baffle. Have them with molded cap or to fit original cap.

They weigh aprox. 10-1/2 pounds, compared to around 50 pounds
