like to operate

What Case Tractor or piece of Case equipment would you like to operate for a day? I would enjoy some seat time on a 2870 working land and run an old self propelled Case combine in good wheat for a day. How about you? Bill

Boy, for me that's a hard one. I farm with a "large tractor", use 300 and 800B for smaller needs, but what I haven't experienced is the old stuff. A cross motor or steamer comes to mind but my torn up shoulders and elbows would make it difficult.

Case LA with a 4-71 Detroit....James

6-71 Detroit

I like this paint job, needs bigger rear tires.

Any of the 70, 90 or 94 series tractors really. 1370, 2394 or 2594 would be ideal. Moldboard plowing and/or chopping corn for a day.

I like operating all of them, from the VACs to the 4690. Used the 2470 to sow oats and got to thinking that it is 53 years old and everything works as it is supposed to....power shift also. Used the 4690 to work corn ground yesterday and remembered using a SC for Dad with a 10' disk. Took for ever to go over 50 acres, 3 days it seemed. Went over 55 acres yesterday in 2.5 hours.

I've run a lot of case stuff and own a few, just to play with I'll my 700 that I have built as a puller, to go do work and just because I've never even seen one in person a 4994, probably not a lot different than the 4890 i ran some but still just an awesome beast!

When I was working for a farmer up near Arvilla, North Dakota, he had a Case 2590 that he had bought brand new in 1979. Really liked running that tractor.

I sure do think the LA is a beautiful looking tractor and I’ve never driven a hand clutch. I would love to drive one of the 300 round noses or a 430 with the dual or triple range transmission. So sharp and seem as handy as a shirt pocket with that Eagle hitch
