Line plugs

Found these at harbor freight, kit with tapered plugs, I used them to plug lines when did clutch on 986 and today rebuilding feeder house reversers on combine. plugged the hyd lines so they don’t get dirt in them. Figured I let people know and make life Easier.

We have that set too. Bailey also found a Cat box similar to that it's red plugs are a little heavier gauge plug for hydraulic hoses. It was in the online store. GG Wes

I original found them for power coating they work great just remember to remove them. i got mine off amazon both male and female.

I save the caps and plugs for hydraulic ffittings and hoses when I buy them for those jobs. Most of the time they are 5 or more miles away when I need them so seldom get used. Then a clean rag gets poked in them.

I have a collection of plugs and caps also from many sources. Used one the other day.

I have plastic plugs on hand for the pumps I repair. Also keep a roll of tin foil on hand to cap the larger lines I don't have caps for, when doubled up it will form fit nicely to keep any dust/dirt out.

This is how well those plugs work. The pink plug was a little lose I then pushed if over the treads of the nut.

I have some plugs too but never the right size, so when wearing those disposable 6mil gloves and they tear or are finished , I cut the fingers off the disposable gloves and use fingers to cover oil,fuel , radiator hoses, hyd lines, easy to tape , zip tie in place. easy to use plus no cost. If you use masking tape to secure they are easy labeled .
